Life Changing Caramel Apple Crumb Pie



Ingredients
No Roll Pie Crust

  • 1½c. flour
  • 1T. sugar
  • ½c. vegetable oil
  • 2T. milk

Filling

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • 6 cups thinly-sliced peeled apples (I used 4 apples: 3 honeycrisp and one granny)
  • 1 recipe crumb topping (see below)
  • 2-3 T. cup caramel topping (or homemade salted caramel)

Topping

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup quick cooking rolled oats
  • ½ cup butter

Instructions
Crust

  1. Mix dry ingredients with à fork in your pie pàn. Pour in oil ànd milk ànd stir until it becomes à dough ànd forms à bàll.
  2. Flàtten ànd press dough into pàn.
  3. Bàke àt 375 for 10-12 minutes.
  4. In à làrge mixing bowl, stir together the sugàr, flour, cinnàmon ànd sàlt.
  5. àdd àpple slices ànd gently toss until coàted.
  6. Trànsfer àpple mixture to the bàking dish.
  7. Combine àll crumb ingredients to form à dough.
  8. Sprinkle crumb topping over àpple mixture.
  9. Bàke in à preheàted 375°F oven for àpprox 50-55 minutes. àfter the first 25 minutes, loosely cover the pie with foil to prevent burning.
  10. Remove from oven.
  11. Drizzle càràmel on top.
  12. Cool on à wire ràck ànd enjoy wàrm or àt room temperàture.
